rotary engines are known to be gas guzzlers, the majority rx8s average about 15-17mpg, not good but still 2x better than you, and theres a few unlucky ones that gets 11-14mpg, and few lucky ones that gets 18+mpg.

your case is very abnormal. is your rx8 used? if it is then i guess now we know why the previous owner sold it. definetly look into lemon laws and contact mazda 7.5mpg is rediculous

what is your typical driving habit? telling us that will give us some idea why you are getting such crappy mileage

i get 130 miles to the halfway mark on the fuel gauge.

Lowest I've ever gotten was about 120 for half a tank. I usually get about 60-70 miles per quarter tank. About 15-16 mpg.
What brand of gas do you use? That can make a big difference. As well as what grade. 87/89/91 octane.

Takke it to the dealer. If you used that much gas your car and your CAT are broken. Thats it.
Maybe someone has been sneaking it out while you sleep.

If you are asking a question could you at least TRY not to type in AIM speak? It's annoying for those of us that graduated the 5th grade.

The only time I get over 180 miles to a tank is when I am doing all open expressway driving. Each one of these cars seem different.

full tank is gone in about 250-280 miles on normal driving..

Slow on and 60-70 on the highway really did wonders for my mpg

Typically I will average about 230 miles to a tank. I can get as much as 280 if I drive like a human being and not like an @$$hole, but that isn't any fun at all.
