How do you tear down a rotory engine

My engine just seized..had it a month..how do.i rebuild it

You don't. Especially if it's seized. You get a known good one from Mazda or a rebuilder, of which there is a list on this forum

Eric at I Do Cars on YouTube did a teardown, so maybe you can use it as a reference. He did make it for general viewing purposes, though, so it's not the most detailed process. You could use it in conjunction with a service manual.


I agree with Loki, though, that there isn't much of a point in tearing them down and replacing parts, given how expensive the new major parts can be. Add in the labour and it's just not a good idea all around.
