I bought my 8 in January 2023 and I hit the 142000 mark yesterday. It had an aem cold air intake when I bought it, but i’ve realized it’s been causing some problems. I’m wondering what is the part list for the stock air box and how do I install it? I have to buy one because I do not have the original one with the car. Also, whenever I install the stock air box, does anybody need an aem cold air intake? $300?

 

I would put a "WTB" in the buy n sell section here on the site...
I would guess that all (or most) of the guys here who talk about
speed here a system sitting in the garage gathering dust..
Or it/you may just need some help.

Do you still have the tray that goes underneath the filter box?

 

I don’t have the tray under it. I didn’t have it when I bought it. I know i’ll have to buy the tray I just don’t know all of the other parts needed apart from the air box itself and the tube with the resonator to the throttle body.

These show up on Ebay from time to time. Also Facebook market place.
I have the top and bottom of the filter box in fair condition. But if you need everything, you'd be better off finding someone parting out a whole car.

 

I was going to say Google search the RX8 engine bay in "Images" but Rock10 kind of just handed you the instructions.
