Hi, New to the forum and the RX eight

Hi, new to the forum. Quick introduction, new RX8 owner in the Northern Virginia area. Bought as a project car. Just picked up another engine and transmission being that I'm on it with no compression in the rear rotor. Did the same thing with my third-generation are excelling absolutely love the car. Feel like you appreciate these vehicles more when you build them/ restore them yourself. Got a great deal on it and the engine and trans as well. Currently have a tour down in the garage can't wait to get it on the road. Came with aftermarket intake, weapon R. and aftermarket exhaust. Not fond of loud cars, I guess I'm an old man at 40. Already obtained a factory exhaust. But hoping somebody will trade me this intake for the stock one, guess I'll post that in the classifieds. Just wanted to drop a line and say hi to everyone. Have a Blessed week,Shaun

Welcome.

That intake is indeed only a noise maker. See if you can trade. If not, I suggest you bite the bullet and get an oem intake and scrap that one. Or use it as a lawn ornament...

Thank you for the welcome. I totally agree these parts are made for a younger generation that like loud. I believe engineers get paid the way they do for a reason.
Thanks again, Shaun
