I'm a brand new user.
Actually i own a FN3 Civic (EUDM).

I always loved Mazda RX but im so scaried by mantaining prices. I found an RX8 with (strange uh?) broken engine. I thought to swap with an SR20DET engine and gearbox.

What do you think about it?

How much are you looking to spend? Swapping in a new engine isn't just the price of the engine, you'll have a lot of figuring out to do.
So if you're scared of the cost of having to replace the rotary with another, the cost of replacing it with some other engine is 2-3 times more.

I know, for this reason i'm thinking about it. I would really like to do it, but it will be a shame if i can't continue the project for lacks of money.
Do you know someone thats already did the sr20 swap?
I have a doubt for the ECU management. A friend told me that a brand make a sort of bolt on ecu conversion fro RX8 with sr20 engine (his names on forum is "Chu" or "Chuchu" he is a ex owner of an FD and lives in Miami, maybe you know him), is true?
