Hello and welcome I am redemptiongabe I am into rx8's since I was a kid but my dad loved it but it's a problematic car but I really want a rx8 but shall I avoid the high mileage ones.

Yes most of the time
if the car has had a recent rebuild it is ok other than that to be safe I wouldn’t buy one with more than 60k

Welcome. The RX-8 is not a problematic car overall. If you have a healthy engine and maintain the car properly then its a car that will last for a long time with little issues.
Part of the fun in owning these cars is performing basic maintenance on them. They are straightforward to work on and you will learn a lot doing your own repairs and servicing the car. I enjoy rebuilding them and taking the time to learn each car I rebuild and service. They offer an amazing driving experience and are just overall beautiful cars.
