JP Mazda MX-8 - Bimmer Mazda

Hi! Im a dude from Bosnia who bought a Mazda RX8 with "engine damage" for 2000 euros and currently has a car that sits without an engine!

I bought this: http://www.autoscout24.eu/Details.as...000000&asrc=st

He said it needed some oil pressure valve needs replacing. Got home and it turns out he did not refill oil as he vas unexpirenced with this engines and Mazda's. I rip the engine out and dissasemble it, finding that the rotor housings and rotors are damaged. Well, !"#$%.

So, i need a new engine. Cant be a RENESIS as the are unavailable in Bosnia and Balkan in general.

I've always wanted 2 door coupe-hatch with only 2 seats, and 4 seats but so i dont need to step out of the car to fold the seat, but that needs 4 doors and i want a 2 door...etc

I thought of a BMW M52B30 engine, a 3.0 liter 6 pot double VANOS engine, or a M50B25, a 2.5l six-pot the same power as the renesis, 192HP, with either single VANOS or no VANOS. Most certainly it will be this engines. I always liked thier engines, but hated their cars (shapes and interiors, no decent 2 door-hatchback like coupe).

So i need a little bit of info about electronics, as mechanically everything can be solved.

1. Does the factory ECU have andything to do with ABS and/or ESP? If it has, is it CAN based?
2. Where can i find wiring diagrams?
3. Is the tacho CAN-based?
4. Is the "AC Request" from the ECU CAN-Based?
5. Anyone got any info on temp gauges?
6. Are the warning lights on the dashboard also CAN-based or is there a single wire for every light?

Thanks!

Hi! Sorry, but you're not prepared to do this.

I hate to chime in, but the change is a LOT of work. Check the Frankenstein thread for swaps. The ECU does just about everything, and gets mad if the engine is not there. And wants the same dashboard, and wants the same lock system.

But, welcome to the club.
