So one day i tried to start my rx8 and drive it but once i turned it on it was bogging down once i put it in gear and tried to move at first it was the cat turning orange from the heat so we changed it and got another and i still had the same problem but now when i let it warm up and then floor it the rpms don稚 want to go up but when i press it constantly it値l eventually start going up and it値l bog out in gear i don稚 know what the problem is if anyone could help please let me know

 

Could it be misfiring? When was the last time you changed the spark plugs and ignition coils/wires?

 

yeah i changed the spark plugs too that痴 not the problem either i壇 have to check the ignition coils and the wires i値l let you know

 

If you have no way to scan the OBD system, take it to an auto parts store like AutoZone and get it scanned for free.

 

Everything I致e read says to do all 3, unless you have some BHR coils. My guess is that痴 a good place to start anyways
