Help with ground connection

Hello, I own a 2004 Automatic Rx8 and I'm looking to find out where this ground connection goes to. I looked at a manual Rx8 and I found that it connects to the block by the oil pan, but it doesn't seem like it connects there for the automatic models. If there are other threads that go over this issue, a link there would be appreciated. If not, then any help with this is appreciated. Thank you.

wow, that’s one ground you don’t want to have disconnected!

In the manual trans picture it’s at the very back passing by the sparkplug boot with everything else stacked on top at the connection point.

It sort of looks like somebody put a new lug connector on it, but may they just cleaned it up.

Here's another angle of it. you can see the general area of where the ground previously was. I'm not exactly sure if it was being held by either a clip or a bolt. I was using the second photo in this thread as a form of reference since I took that before the ground had separated. Is something missing here?
