I have issues with my 2005 rx8. (Japanese import).
The CEL came on and after checking the codes p0351-4. I changed my coils but after second start up the codes and cel reappeared. I have changed coils again along with plugs and wires(ngk). Again second start up and cel is back. I have had old coils checked and they are all fine. I have checked as many connectors as I can see along with changing the battery. The car drives great still and I have no loss of performance. There is a very slight delay in starting (hot or cold) (but not even a second on time). I am thinking there is a fault with electronics/circuit but where to start? Any ideas? I will be selling the car shortly due to moving overseas and would like the fault sorted prior to this. Hope someone can help.

the code you get is : misfiring detected @ # 1 and # 4 cyls. If you tried new coils/wires/plugs and still get the code, engine cant burn all the fuel it gets still, your next options would be compression test and new cat. Have you tried to clear the codes on a hot motor and take off quick without idling for too long ? if you dont get those codes then, try again on a cold start.
