Hello Fellas

Hey guys, I have been lurking around this website for a while now. I've got some pretty good info out of it, there seem to be a lot of guys that know their stuff around here. I also realized that people here are, well, pretty animated about their opinions. Anyway, nice to be here. I'm from MN and it would be cool to meet another enthusiasts around the area.

Thanks 9K. BTW, your car is gorgeous! Mine is not quite as nice... Found it on CL an had to save her. Craigslist will ruin my life.

So...What's wrong with it? Is that the oil filter inlet line I spy sticking out of the passenger side corner? Lol.

Welcome!

Well, I got across this car on CL. The car has been auctioned due a total loss from fire. The seat warmer shorted and the bottom drive seat cushion caught on fire. The car still started and ran perfectly, it only had 42k miles. This guy bought it and took the powertrain off to put it in his blown RX8. He sold a few parts from the car, was in the process of parting it out.

So it doesn't have an engine, or does it have the blown engine from his other 8?

It didn't have an engine or transmission when I bought it. I'm in the process of swapping in one now. I'll probably make a build thread sometime.

I see you're in Gilbert. I miss that part of the country, I lived in Chandler and Tempe for a few years.

Good , I hope you paid next to nothing for it for the amount of work it is going to take and your costs to rebuild it. Our best to you, and keep us informed during your build.
