It is a blast to red line it in second !!!
Most fun you can have with your clothes on !!!!!
Other Newbies welcome !!!!

Yeah, that exactly what everyone has told me too. The rotors like fast speed and high RPMs. Try to red line it either every drive or at least every few days. I do it every time I drive. I love the awesome accelerating kick/push it gives shifting from first @ 7500RPMS to second!

Redlining is great, but it's not 100% necessary every time you drive (it is fun though!)

Revving from idle to ~3k when parking is completely unnecessary, and makes you look silly to people who drive automagics. If your vehicle is in good health (and/or has one of the more recent Mazda flashes) you won't flood, especially when it's hot. Mine's never flooded even on sub 20ft trips starting from cold.

Checking the oil is a great thing to do though! I need to start doing it as often as you, lol.

Oh wow, okay I appreciate the advise! I always thought that revving it when parking burns away any extra fuel, oil, or carbon. But that's awesome if we don't have to. I know it looks really weird to piston car owners.

Agree with Legot ^^ ..No need to rev and shut the car..

Also, don't rev up when you start from cold, just drive normally keep it under 4k rpm and accelerate moderately.

whenever you get a chance, read the new / potential owner thread as many times as you can.

All the best

Thanks. I appreciate the advice. I will read the thread a bunch. Thanks again.
