GPS information
Hi Folks, This is my 1st time on the chat board thanks for reading this far!
I live in Malta Europe and have a 2004 RX8 with a factory installed GPS system. Being a direct import from Japan, the buttons on my center console are all in Japanese! What I am trying to find is the correct buttons in English alon with the correct disc for Southeren Europe. Any help you can give me woudl be greatly appreciated.
Part II. I having an amazingly good time drifting my 8 all over this island. I have gone from the Potenzas to a set of Dunlops and after a couple of years on the Dunlops have realized that it may well be time for a change. The roads here are slippey as hell as they use a low grade aggregate which, combined with the large amount of spilled diesel fuel and incredible heat in the Summer months(120-140+degrees F) makes the roundabouts feel like you are on a skid pad!
Would like to hear your input on the aforementioned GPS situation along with traction comments!
Thanks
Ciao for now
Dr.Steve

Hey Dr. Steve,
welcome to our little corner of the interwebs.
I can't remember if the language can be changed in the settings menu for the Nav system so you might need to look that up in the owners manual. If you don't have one, try going to the mazda site for your country (for us in the US, it's mazdausa . com ) and registering your car on their website.
If the UK is anything like the US site, it will then allow you to download a pdf version of the owners manual.
As for the maps themselves, sounds to me like you might need an updated / replacement disc. The navigation system on our cars is made by Navteq. Mazda - RX-8 - 2004 - Mazda - North America Map DVD Version 2008 -
That's the link to order a US disc but there is a contact option, maybe start there?
hope that helps.
