Glad to be here, rear wheel inner tire rub.

Hey guys. I have been lurking for a while getting some useful information. I've only had my 2007 RX8 for about 2 weeks now. The only issue I've run into is the solenoids, one of the wires is burned out so I address that situation and repaired it and the check engine light went off. I was fortunate enough to upgrade the 16 inch factory rims to 18 in Chrome wheels, and p235 45 r18. Obviously I'm running into an issue now. With a passenger in the vehicle or a trunk full of Walmart groceries just the rear inner of the rear tires are rubbing occasionally on the inside of the well. I have seen many many comments so far as to why would you ever lift an RX8, use this, use that,. I looked up spacers to go on top of the coil springs but did not have much success finding any. I unfortunately do not have the money or the job 2 make major repairs to get this fixed. I did find spacers that go on the outside of the rotors (5mm, 10mm, half inch) but I'm. Not sure if I should use these and I wanted to get your opinion on this as to what millimeter I should use because the inside of the tire is just barely rubbing at certain dips and certain weight requirements that are in the vehicle. Basically I'm asking what are my options to get rid of this wheel well rubbing short of going back to 16 in rims and 225 tires. I also added H7 low beam LED lights. They fit well
, but did nit work. I assume I need the module or a totally different light to begin with. Again, glad to be here, and look forward to your responses!!

Brian
