fuel efficiency, rotary vs piston
I tried to post this in general motor section but It did not let me and needs help as soon as possible
So I hear piston engine actually consumes more fuel at high rpm and i tried to find this online but I didnt find any thing really clear answers for me.
I wondered if anyone could help me if this is true, and if anyone have actually data that compares this.

The reasons and factors are highly varied. I recommend starting with research into the definition of Brake Specific Fuel Consumption. Additional reading would be into aerodynamic drag, drivetrain loss, fluid dynamics, thermal-dynamics, etc...

I think that Automatic vs. Manual is also a factor with regards to fuel consumption.
Maybe it's all in my head...but I tend to coast around in neutral when I'm driving a manual car (say while cruising down a hill for example)
I always imagined this helped with fuel consumption because you're less likely to have "lead foot" if coasting.

Not to mention no driving school that I have ever seen or heard of will EVER reccomend you to coast in neutral.
