EU Front Wheel Bearing Replacement

Hi all,

I've had my rx-8 for about two years and other than a faulty fuel guage it's been great. I just got back from a 3000 km trip to croatia and midway i got a flashing CEL with no loss of power, i suspect a dirty air sensor.

One thing that does have me worried however is that now in a curve I'm getting a knocking sound up front on the passenger side(bearing). This coupled with the fact that i now have a stripped bolt (unrelated) on the front driver side makes me just want to order a new wheel hub for both sides. My question is are all wheel hubs created equal? I seem to have a choice between Timken, Centric, Moog and some others. I would rather upgrade than sidegrade as I am starting to get my baby track ready, but streetable (I just put in a Spec Stage 3+ clutch plate and am very happy with it).

Any thoughts would be great.

OE is the way to go. Mazdaspeed Motorsports Development has the best price. After that, parts.com is the cheapest. Aftermarket RX-8 hubs always end in heartache.

OE, got it. Any way to prevent stripped bolts in the future? Should I press in stronger ones?
