TX Front Fender Vents?

I have only seen one RX-8 in person and I cannot remember if it had vents behind the front fenders or not. But in looking at pictures on this site it seems some do and some dont, or are all those vents just painted on??

You should post am example of what you are talking about .. You might be referring to "fender strakes"

Vertical openings in the body about 2" wide and 18" tall (as best as I can judge from the pictures) similar to the 2001 Corvettes.. They may just be black paint not real vents but I cant tell from the pictures.

All series 1 rx8s have them (2004-2008). Series 2 (09+) do not. They are real vents.

Also, just giving you some advice, read the stickies on this forum. I see you have been creating a lot of new threads asking simple questions that are discussed else where. No need to clutter up the forum with more threads when it is already bad. You should be able to find answers to most questions you have just by searching.

Dont know if this refers to ME or not. But.....if it does.....

1) I used multiple questions because from past experience of 10 years on the internet I realize that when you ask 5 questions in one post, you get only the first one answered.

2) The rules of this forum encourage a newby to ask multiple questions so that he/she can get to the 10 post minimum to be able to really participate on the forum.

3) But, dont worry, wont post again until I have an RX-8 of my own.....on the nopistons forum....

Thanks for the warm welcome.

There are vents for S2, just smaller (closer to BMW M3 style)
