Fixed Issue with RX8 07 slow shifting.

While I working on putting a carbon fiber vinyl on my passenger dash(you all know why) I inadvertently fixed a issue I was having with slow shifting in my RX8 AT speed GT without it actually getting hot yet. The fix happen after I had the battery disconnected for more than 2hrs while working on my dash. This made all of my electronics reset. Once I reinstalled the dash I turned on the car then turned it off again after running it for awhile to make sure the airbag light goes out after start up. Then I turned it on again and took it for a drive and noticed the fix. Has anyone else ever had this happen or was my situation rare?

I would still keep an eye on it. You said the issue only happens when it's cold, it's possible you got lucky. I've never worked on or even seen an A/T RX8 but I've had this issue in a couple of different cars. It was always related to a transmission solenoid in my specific cases. When is the last time you had the AT fluid replaced?

Well not only when it's cold but at any temp basically. And I am. I have had it for 2 years it has 80k on it. So for my peace of mind I will have the transmission fluid changed soon.

Also the slow shifting accord usually after dropping from 6g to 4/3g trying to shift up again because of rapid acceleration and quick leveling off of speed.
