Hey guys,

Just getting started, I'm here to learn a bit more about the RX-8. There's one for sale near me, but I wanted to get a little more info before I jump on the car.

If anyone could help out that'd be great.

What the **** are you actually asking?

 

i mean i just kinda want to know more about the way the car should behave. when you take your foot off the gas does it slow down hard like you downshifted? does it usually make a whining/squeaking sound when you have it in really low rpms? the one we test drove was kind of chirping when we let the revs drop. is that normal or does it sound like something's up?

Any idea what those noises and all could be signs of? The squeak/chirp also stopped when I engaged the clutch. I'd take my foot off the gas and let it coast in 1st and it'd make that noise but when I stepped on the clutch it'd go away. When I took my foot off the gas it would almost feel like I'd hit the brakes. My girlfriend started yelling at me for braking without clutching haha.
