the multimeter test method is well documented to not be effective

you need a simple spark load tester device which will test both the coil and spark wire output directly

i have an inline one that lights up if that would work to show any irregularities . but ill look into your link further

since i have new coils, plugs and wires are hopefully good(<2k miles), wouldnt i need to go further back?
aside from grounds any other wiring that may need looking at?

I doubt there’s either a fuel or ignition issue just looking at the plug pictures; if anything it seems lean. Do you have a compression tester? Any chance there’s an exhaust blockage like bad cat converter etc.?

i do have a comp tester, but it starts right up when hot unlike the previous engine that had bad comp and needed an hour to cool off. But if you think this is a real possibility i can do one
i dont know if the cat could have gone bad.
it passed smog with previous engine back in, i think october.
I could disconnect it and run it for a bit i suppose

Update: i decided to swap ess again and swap throttle body again. This time i just decided to put the full aem intake back
Car no longer had the idle hunt or eventual shut off. Warmwd up like it should.

Could it really have been something simple as needing the whole intake? Maybe throttle body i believe but damn

Here are some numbers that it had. Stft were no longer negative only and i think this is the first time ive had ltft readings

Are you telling us your "problem" was due to not installing the intake? I thought your photo with just the MAF section hooked up to the TB was from troubleshooting....not running the car.

So this whole time, it was my fault because of an intake. I thought as long as the maf is in the right place itd be good.
i had the car like that since first start up😅
I knew it was having problems because of some thing stupid, but i didnt think itd be an intake(or me)
im pretty mad right now

To be honest this is probably my fault since i sometimes have my fd running without connecting intake to TB. And i keep forgetting these are more modern electrical.

Im glad it wasnt something serious, i almost went in to swap injectors, aside from that how do the numbers look?
the idle was pretty much buttery smooth.

It sounded like it was something simple. Glad you got it figured out. Doesn't hurt to check through all those systems anyways so no harm, no foul. Numbers look good enough to me. the -20% STFT was obviously a huge problem.
