DSC button does nothing

Hi,
Had the car for about 1.5Y now and the dsc off button has never done anything. Press or hold no lights show on the dash and TC is definatly still enabled.
Pulled the switch out this morning and it was plugged in fine, opened it and there doesnt seem to be anything up with the contacts in the switch itself.
Purely out of interest today I tried pulling the dsc fuse from main box but still nothing, just the abs light came on and the handbrake light but TC is still on.

Aside from just wanting to have a little fun on private land, Im heading up north to a fairly snowy area next month and from what ive read TC can be a pain if stuck on ice/snow so having the option to disable could come in useful.
Anyone have any ideas where is the next best place to look on the car to fix this? Most of the posts Ive found are about fixing dsc not unable to turn it off.
Thanks

Ah yes that would help haha.
It's a PZ RX8 2006 manual

Is it automatic? They don't have DSC... Though they wouldn't have the button either I suppose. What if you hold the DSC OFF button down for 10 seconds? That's the full disconnect mode, rather than diet disconnect you get with the button press

Mine is manual, does it mean it has DSC? For some reason it has the button but has been scratched off. Pressing or press and hold the 'button' does not seem to affect anything.
Current issue is the ABS light is staying on and cant seem to isolate the issue, have tried swapping with another power steering rack and ABS module. Perhaps the ABS module might be a wrong model worth another shot.

Check the ABS error code.
If the DSC button is scratch out, maybe the previous owner modified the system in ways only he would know.

So I have had a similar situation with my RX8 since I purchased 5yrs ago. It was a fully optioned 04 GT 6spd w/ 38k miles at time of purchase. DSC button has never worked and the DSC OFF light and “skid” light have never been on. From my testing it seems that the ABS functions properly, and TCS/DSC does function. This car used to be somebodies track car and my theory is that the previous owners pulled the cluster and mechanically disabled the lights, or possibly there is a way in the BCM to disable the lights. Since you have the PZ possibly it was a race car as well, and a previous owner did the same so they wouldn’t have a Christmas Tree on the dash for daily use.
