So i got a junkyard bumper assembly for my rx8 i saved from being scraped and the cover came from a rx8 that had an engine fire and the driver side upper fender mount is melted. does anyone know how much it would be to fix if possible? (When i bought the bumper assembly he threw in the cover for free color matchs my car just seeing if its worth fixing if its even all that important will post pictures)

Nope, just get a replacement.

 

It may be able to be salvaged but i don't think it would be worth the trouble IMO...

The middle that seems to be warped can probably be worked back into shape using hot water or a torch (what i used to repair mine).....

I ran a torch along the backside of the bumper with rapid passes to heat up the plastic where the mash was and slowly started working the mash out with my hands and a small rubber mallet, maybe give this a try and see if the middle can be straightened out...i attached a few pictures from my repair.....

The side markers are garbage and as for the third picture down where its all burnt, i don't know if that's repairable or worth it....maybe attach some more pictures of the burnt side markers?
