i have been searching around on the web all afternnon for an answer to this. can someone please tell me:

do all RX8's have DSC ?

from what i understand the DSC is part of the ABS HU/CM unit, is there any way to tell by inspecting the wiring going into the ABS HU/CM (by the plug) if the vehicle has DSC?

any if you are wondering why i dont just look for the DSC switch on the dash unit, i dont have the dash unit. only the ABS pump (with black box attached) and the engine bay wiring and dash wiring. The vehicle that the looms and ABS pump came from was a early 2003-2004 6-port 6-speed.

I don't know how they were packaged in NZ, but in the US, you had to get the Sport, Touring or Grand Touring packages added on. The base model didn't have it.

 

Thank you, from what i understand the NZ new models (mostly) came with this option & the Jap imports is a hit/miss situation.

i have a Jap import that im using the loom from that did not have DSC, however the wiring to the yaw sensor in the rear loom is still there, but not the wiring for (whatever else is needed in terms of DSC) going into the ABS HU/CM. so the brain of the DSC lies in the ABS pump, but the wiring may still be there in either case for the yaw sensor in the Rear loom (and also maby be in the instrument cluster loom also).

the interior harness does have all plugs, front harness will have them too, its just that the emission and engine harness thats difff
