I have been looking into buying an rx8 recently but I really don’t know enough about them and I have my doubts due to stuff I’ve heard and read about them that kind of scares me off (that being reliability issues etc.) I thought there’s no better place to find out about them than this site so I’m wondering if anyone can tell me a few things.

1. Are they difficult cars to look after?
2. How long do they last, what’s the max amount of kms you can get out of the engines?
3. Are there any other issues with the car besides the issues I’ve read about the engines?
4. Are they unreliable like they are rumoured to be?

I sort of of just need a run down on the rx8. Maybe there’s a better place on this site to find that information? But I’m not sure. Any advice and info would be much appreciated. I want to hear from people who have owned them and lived with the car and really know what’s true about them and what’s false. Thanks heaps.
