Hi all im new here just hoping to get some insights into the dash lights and see if I can get any further with them, With the help of the Help of the community :D
So I am trying to get my Rx8 ready for a wof and I need to repair or replace? a thing or two but from the looks of it my ABS primarily, and I have noticed that all 3 lights that are on are the
ABS, Power steering, and brake light, Yet I think theres nothing wrong with my power steering its working as it should I can feel it funcutioning and im not battling it to turn corners. Could there be anything else to the power steering im missing? No errors Show for power steering.
theres plenty of brake fluid and I have tested the sensor on the tank. Now for the ABS using an OBD2 tool im Given a code of U0121 "Lost Communication with ABS Control Module A" I have had this disappear For Upwards of 10 to 15 minutesstraight multiple times
Doesnt matter if im driving or just sitting there it comes back it also Goes away with the Power steering light and the park brake light, The ABS Error is the only error that shows on my ECU, Oddly enough I cant see how the 3 would set each other off, Do they normally? Or the ABS error setting off the other two?
Are all these systems affected by a bad ABS? And for replacements for the ABS pump or Control Module Is the system interchangeable for anyother types from a f151-437A0 to any other pump without reprograming?

 

All those systems are interconnected via CANbus. They need data from each other so if the ABS module loses connection the others go into failsafe. If it's intermittent, perhaps as simple as a loose connector or frayed wire?
