Thumbs up Checking oil level Mazda 231 2005

Hi guys
I brought an RX8 just under two weeks ago, just checked the oil and it's on the second dot on the dipstick. Wanted to know if this is low and where the oil should be. This car has just had a full engine rebuild 200 miles ago and don't want to mess it up.

Thanks for an advice given

Ideally, keep it somewhere between the top "full" line and the mark right below it.

Thanks for the quick reply and advice will top it up.
Would you recommend checking it once a week?

If your Renesis is running normally, you only need to check it every other gas fill-up. Of course, no harm in checking more often if it affords you some peace of mind. (I check mine every fill-up, but I tend to be **** about my cars.)

"Renesis" is just the name Mazda came up with for the version of the rotary engine used in the RX-8.
