A Civic just smoked my 8 & my car is not producing the power it used to be

Hi everyone,
please help me with my issue , I have a 04 Automatic 8 with 36,000 KM'S, I have changed my plugs and coils.
last Friday I got a CEL and it indicates P0661 code and I feel that my car is not producing the power it used to be before the CEL there is a diffrance , car revs to 7000- 8000 RPM but yet there is a diffrance, and my friend suggested me its the selonoids and I have to replace them so is t the reson for this and I would like to know is it ok to drive until I replace them

As I have to mention this as well , last Thursday I replaced my coolant bottle and accidently the plastic tube which connnects to the air intake got broke the one next to the strut bar and I replaced it so should this issue lead to this cause AND IS IT OK TO DRIVE THE CAR TILL I REPLACE THE SOLONOIDS AND DOES THIS LEAD TO SLOW DOWN THE CAR

Where exactly near the strut bar have you replaced the ''plastic tube'' ? near the air pump ? Since you've worked on the car lately look for a vacuum line you might have disconnected accidentally, probbly the ssv one, it's situated under the EGR valve on the left side of the engine if you're looking at it from the front of the car.

No sir , not that, its the plastic **** near to the top of the MAF whuch connects to the throttle body , I can feel that my car is no providing the power it used to, and my friend is suggesting that P0661 is with regard to solonoids so is t ok if drive till I replace them and does this is the reson for my poor profomance.

You mean the 90 degrees **** on top of the air intake tube right before the throttle body ? if so this breather connects right to the intake manifold near ssv, witch could give you a p0661 code, inspect the 90 degree coupler for a crack or bad seal

I would at least tape up that part. it will let un metered air into the intake and screw up the mixture. The computer can likely adjust, but will not be happy. If it is the one that goes to the Jet Air, it is a measurable vacuum leak. Electrical tape will do it until you get a replacement.

Check the SSV threads. They show how to reach down there and make sure the valve is still working. Although most need cleaning anyway. There is a good DIY on how to take it out and clean it. I just takes time and is dirty.

Sir like it was not broken from there when I brought the car , it was so solid and my dealer have broken the plastic **** when I went to replace my coolant bottle , and they have replaced it ,now its not solid it can be move from the hand and is t the reason that I get this code sir and is t ok to drive around till I repair this , and my RPM needle is coming down at once when I take my foot from the accilator when Im in the 4 th or 3rd gear , and I do have to mention I have lost little bit of power because I couldn't race a honda civic also even I was going 140 sir

What do you mean by heats up? To what temperature? Are you monitoring your temps somehow or just relying on the dash gauge? Can you give a detailed description of what is happening?

Videos and pictures might best, your descriptions are not easy to read.

I monitor my coolant temps from the obd 2 adapter , and it gets sometimes to 226F in idle and it will go down as I start to move , but sometimes car cools down in idle , and I feel the AC is also getting low in idle .

What's the ambient temperature when you get up to 226? That's definitely not normal. Are your fans turning on?

Srry about the delay i was busy as hell, The **** we talked about could lead to missreading from ecu in relation to Maf sensor since the amount of air calculated by maf is a bit off with a leak after its position, could lead to a richer air/fuel mix but not a huge issue, richer mix could lead to power loss and its a probable cause to your problem. Heating issues on the other hand is another story not related to the first issue. Generally a overheating motor standing still witch regulate itself while moving is caused by a bad water pump ''try to rev the engine and look if the temps goes down'' , if thats the case the pump might be defective, or your radiator fan aren't working and without movement winds the radiator can't be efficient.
