Cannot make a thread
Hello everyone! I'm relatively new to these forms and I was trying to post a thread in Series 1 Troubleshooting. This was due to me wanting help with am issue. However, when I try to post, it tells me I have no permission. I can only post in new members. If anybody knows a fix, the help will be greatly appreciated!

You didn't meet the new member requirements yet to make a new thread...

I did try and ask this earlier in my own thread but apparently muggles can't post her
Sorry for the thread hijack but I did try and create one but after 2 days of mods checking and not telling me they're not going to post it, I came to the conclusion newcomers can't create threads. Kind of stupid as about 99% of people who join a forum joined because they needed help. Anyways I'm not writing every again so here's my problem. Fixable or full rebuild?

So how many posts have I got to post before I can actually start a thread and post the photos I tried to a few days ago. Come on, a little bit of common courtesy instead of just blanking it would've been nice. But what do I know? Nobody turns up to a forum to ask for help

I think it's 10 posts and 30 days.
Maybe look around yourself a little bit as well? We are willing to help, but you can't just expect people to spoon-feed you...

I didn't expect anyone to spoon feed me. All I tried to do twice was post some pictures of some borked barings between my engine and gear box so I know what my options are and if it's actually worth sending it a 100 odd miles to the nearest rotary specialist. If my first attempt at a thread had posted you would've seen that I actually thanked everyone for all the help this forum gave me in fixing problems while I was looking around in the past.

I was under the impression that it was 10 posts and 24 hours of membership. I could be wrong though. We have it set up on rx7club currently that its 10 posts and 24 hours of membership. We are currently in the process of doing away with the restrictions to new members.

I'd imagine the RX-7 is old and quirky enough to only attract enthusiasts, and the traffic is low enough that you don't get enough spams. It's probably just the usuals hanging out, much like around here. Correct me if I am wrong.

There are a ton of new people that join weekly. So many that we have an introduction forum for the new members to introduce themselves and share pics of their 7. We also have a new member tech section and a website questions section for new members. There are a lot of veteran members that hang out there, me included, but the new traffic is what helps keep the forum alive and well. There is a fair amount of traffic from existing members and the forum stays alive and well. Not like it was 10 years ago but its hanging in there.
