KY Broken coil bolt / bracket

Pretty brief question. I just purchased a 04 rx8 in really great condition. I bought the car cheap enough that I could do a Reman swap if need be as the car will no idle, and it seems to have no power. Codes for a misfire is apparent, CEL flashing. Upon inspection today, I noticed that every coil bracket bolt on this thing was snapped in half and my coils are just hanging there basically. I'm prepared to purchase a new ignition and a new coil bracket but I'm curious if this could cause a misfire? Do the coils have to be sitting on the metal bracket and making contact? Any info would be great.

I had my S2 running like that for a little while, and it didn't misfire. The nuts were seized to the bolts, so they snapped when I changed the coils.

Got it fixed at a dealership, as I couldn't figure out how to pull that plate out.

Ah, gotcha. I should've know. It wouldn't have been something that simple. Thanks for the reply!
