A blinking light is ALWAYS a misfire. Replace the coils, wires and plugs. If you do not want to go that route and take it to a dealership to verify, it is your money. I would up grade to the BHR ignition as piece of mind personally. That is what I did. Fix the weak link and be done with it. Smarter not harder.

Im going to agree with hoosier on this one. No matter if the CEL stays or not, a blinking CEL is always a misfire. Im also going to agree that an upgrade to the BHR kit would be a good thing. Now if you dont want to go that route there are a few other choices such as going with the new C version coils that you can get at Mazmart or even the LS2 ignition upgrade. I myself have the BHR system and it is FAR better than stock.

For a cheap first test, pull the plugs and clean them really good, then pop them back in. If you get misfires with new clean plugs - you know it's time for a new ignition. If it goes away you can let it ride until the CEL comes back up.
