Don't get me wrong; Mark has a lot of value and often has decent opinions, as well. I just don't hold him in such high regard (nor does he with me, either) after knowing him for many years.
My annoyance with him has always been based on this and certain metrics that would be non-sequitur to mention (for now).
Wow, all that and all I said was to stop haranging and harrassing the new guy, but now I’m accused of being that person when I stuck up for the new guy. Honestly, stop acting so ridiculously stupid. The only brand Ray cares about is the BHR brand. Again this is my only complaint about it; if you aren’t for it you’re as good as against it and all the fanbois will do their best to go lynch mob on anyone perceived to be so. This thread is a direct testimony to the truth of it.

For OP's question, I think BB kit will do the job since the key components are largely the same.
I think most people who support BHR do so because the possibility of copied designs(which, like I mentioned, is common in a lot of industries), and from some searches, BB doesn't have the best customer support, at least in the past. This isn't exactly OP's concern, but still worth pointing out.
