Best Tire Pressures for track

There is no single answer to that question. It depends on the temperature, type of tire, track surface, track direction, spring rates, rim size, alignment settings, etc. You need to measure temps across the section in the hot pits with a proper tire pyrometer to find the sweet spot and adjust from there.
There is a hugely informative thread on alignment settings in the Racing subforum.

I know that at Autocross, people would chalk their tires with a mark that barely touches the tread, do a lap and get out to inspect the mark. If the mark is gone, you need to bump the tire pressure up, and if the mark is still touching above the sidewall onto the tread, you need to let the air out.
Every tire is different so this will require some experiment on your own. I am not sure if this method gets used for tracking.
