Battery installation
To be fair, the 8 is the first vehicle I put an AGM inside. I just like the technology and wanted to try it out.
I was just doubting because it appears that most people only had experience with Optima AGM batteries here. A lot of other brands make them and they don't all use the cylinder arrangement. Mine is just the plain old blocky one like a normal flooded type.
Agreed on the battery tender. I use mine whenever the cranks feel slower than usual. I sometimes listen to music with the engine off, once even up to one hour(waiting for the ferry).

Jinx,
You were right. The auto store that said it was too difficult to install a battery on the rx8 should be closed down. It took me all of 5 minutes to take the battery out. And i am 66 with a very bad back. FYI....It was O'Reillys. To be fair however, i do live in Colorado where pot is legal. 😎
I took it to Advance and discovered it is barely 2 years old. They put it on a trickle charger overnight. Hopefully i can get a little more time out of it.
