I am rebuilding my engine.
Just a quick question about it.
Are these engine blocks bad? You can see there rails/tracks after the rotor.




Should i take them to specialist to grind them to smooth? Or my commpresion will get worse?

You're going to get step wear (those rails/tracks) no matter what happens if an engine is running.

What matters is the depth and severity of the step wear. I don't remember off the top of my head what Mazda specs say the max wear is. Rule of thumb is that if you can catch your finger nail on the ridges than it's too deep.

You *can* send your irons (not engine blocks) off to get lapped, however you DO NOT want to send them to any random shop. Mazda treated the irons in a manner to make the surface harder and less likely to wear. If you just send them out to any old shop you may end up removing all of that protective surface, which in the end will dramatically increase wear...

If you want to get them resurfaced I'd look into Chips Motorworks as they've been doing it (successfully) in the RX-7 community for a while now. Look into their Lapping and Nitrating.

So i take my irons to that specialst. I wont take it to some "random shop".
It would be nice if i could take it to Chips Motorworks but its too far away from me. I am living in mid europe.

 

I'd check to see if they renitrate your irons, or harden the fresh layer in any way. If not than you're likely to have that much wear again in significantly fewer miles.
