Ive had my 04 RX8 for a few months now and last night, pulling up to my car getting back from work, there were two people inside trying to steal it. I assume they were trying to hotwire it? If they were....they had no idea what they were doing. Tore up the steering collumn good as well as the driver door (won't open without manually reaching inside panel).

Anyways, my question is about the AntiTheft system. I attached a picture...is there a way to bypass this temporarily? I am correct to assume that this is what's left of the AntiTheft device? I don't know a while lot about these things...never had to mess with them.
