Aftermarket Fuel Pressure Regulator

Hi just wondering if anyone has installed a FPR? i have one out of a 12a RX7. is it worth installing and where should i put it? my car is overfuelling but thats because o2 sensor is throwing an error code. on a side note, my ssv valve isnt opening at high rpm but its not stuck. thanks

As far as I know, the fuel pressure regulator on these cars is actually inside the fuel pump assembly. There is a valve that opens when the fuel exceeds the set pressure, and the fuel leaves the pump and goes back into the tank. You could remove the pump and use a soldering iron to melt the pop up valve closed, but the bigger question is why?

Some folks have designed and built return style fuel systems, but all the ones I know of are using forced induction. It can be a lot of custom work and making your own fuel lines.
