I have an 04 rx8. The other day I ran over a tire in the road and it took out the ac condensor and of course all the freon leaked out. Does anyone know how many pounds it takes to fill the ac back up again, and do I need to add oil for the compressor.

 

take the compressor out, drain the oil, fill and flush it couple of times, then fill about 2 oz to it and put it back in, replace the condensor, put another 2 oz of oil to the condenser, Replace the 2 o rings that connects to it.

pull vacuum to at LEAST -29 mHg, best if u have a strong pump that can do -30 for at least 20 mins, then hold it for at least overnight to see if it holds, if it holds , fill it

if i doesnt, find leak
