Hey guys, greetings from Georgia! This forum has been extremely helpful in deciding my car purchase (I was torn between the 350z, s2000, rx7 turbo II, and the rx8). I've been reading the crap out of the noob stickies and decided I should just join the forum

I bought a 2005 sport with 91K miles and a reman with 15k. According to the previous owner, the dealership tried to replace the water pump, blew up the engine and gave him a reman! Charlie from Mazcare looked up the vin for me and reaffirmed this. Anyways, I can tell the car was loved and taken care of. It pulls strong and I have yet to have any hint of an issue.

This is now my DD. I want to do autox and maybe do a few track days in the future.

The first thing I did was wash and wax her I'm going to change all fluids, do a coolant flush, get new pads then I plan on doing this list of mods next https://www.rx8club.com/new-member-f...ot-8-a-202548/
Also, I want to extend the overflow hose for the coolant tank and clean all the connections for the electric power steering. Then get the BHR ignition system and the SOHN adapter and go from there.

Funny story about that...

Not even 5 mins into my ride home after buying, A cop speed trapping pulls out in front of rush hour traffic right behind me and turns on his lights. I was in the left lane doing about 80 staying with the flow of traffic, and crapping my pants, of course.

He then proceeds to cut over two lanes of traffic to the right to get around me to pull over the person in front of me which was a white accord going about the same speed...
