2005 RX8 Exo Cart

Hey everyone. Glad to be a new rx8 owner, even if it's all cut apart. Just looking for some helpful tips as I outfit this thing with a few creature comforts and make it look like I want it to. Since everything is torn apart, I'm not sure what all was there in the first place. Is there a cup holder insert? Holding a drink while shifting is irritating. Is there an exhaust that would look better or not stick out so far as the stock muffler without straight pipes? Again, glad to be here and looking forward to conversing with you all!

That's... pretty interesting... To answer your question, this is the stock muffler and yes, it sucks. What I did was make a custom midpipe with a resonator coupled with a Manzo stainless steel decat exhaust. Will make that thing sound mean as hell. You planning to use offroad only I'm guessing so you may want to also upgrade the suspension and tires. You are missing all of the interior trim so no cupholders for you unless you can fabricate them.

thanks. I’ll look into that exhaust setup. It’s street legal and was built as a road course car so all the suspension work is done.

Oh, well you're set then! I've never seen an RX8 build like this before so its quite unique. If you want to keep the noise down you can keep the cat and just get the cat back exhaust system. The Manzo one sounds mean as hell.

Edit: added pics.

That intake looks like it was very much intentionally selected for this build... I wouldn't swap it out, this may be street legal but it's not a normal street car in any sense.
