This morning when I was leaving for work my power steering stopped working, and my battery light + the rest of my dashboard lights lit up.

Took it to autozone to check battery/alternator- Alternator is putting out 16.5 volts... Means the regulator is bad?

About 2 weeks ago I had a new double din touchscreen installed on my car. Does this mean they didn't ground something? I'm getting it towed to a mazda dealer, I don't want to fry anything.

 

Well????? What Mazda say???? Mine doing it to...Smoked a month old Optima RED35 in 33 miles.
