WA 2005 RX8 base what's it worth.

Hello, I have a 2005 RX8 Base with 111,000. Located close to Seattle Washington. Engine replace by Mazda at 60K. Body is close to perfect, interior VG, silver, 6 speed manual. It has been sitting in storage for awhile.Things it needs.tires, Brakes, Windshield, starts up runs great but is hard to start unless sitting for awhile. Reason for selling. I moved to a different state. Anybody know what a fair asking price would be? Or does anybody want to give me a offer?

So are you saying it difficulty starting warm?
Because that's a sign of needing a new engine. An RX8 with a questionable engine isn't worth much, maybe 1k? Subtract for windshield and other needs.

Any buyer who knows what he's doing will ask you for a compression test to confirm engine health.

That you for responding. Almost everybody I have talked to that has an RX8 that has 60K miles has the same problem with starting. Does this mean all of them are only worth 1000.00?

Only if the engine is ruined. Not being able to start while hot or stalling while hot is a compression issue which means thousands of dollars of work to replace or rebuild the engine. Only way to know for sure is a compression test. But generally, this issue means the engine is done. Mileage is irrelevant as every engine is different depending on how it was cared for. My 6 speed @70k miles and compression is still ok. Not great but at least ok.

get a real compression test if you honestly want to know the value, nobody in their right mind is going to buy it without one and possibly the starting issue is resulting from something else

Very true. Compression test your car to know 100%. Every car is different. If you are above 6 bar on all rotor faces adjusted to 250RPM and elevation, the problem could very likely be an ignition system issue (spark plugs, wires, coils and starter).
