2004 Mazda RX8 no compression? Need Advice

So I just recently picked up this 2004 Mazda rx8 that the guy claimed he overheated and let sit for 2 years. My problem is while trying to start the motor it will not try to "grab" it just keeps cranking over and sounds like it has no compression.

i have put new spark plugs, wires and two new coils. Only odd thing the car is doing is the service engine soon light is flashing with the key in the on position.

any advice that could be given would be much appreciated.

Well get the codes scanned. It could be flooded, but the check engine light .. or.. all those lights are trying to tell you something.

Any reason you only replaced 2 coils? Get it in for a compression test, so you know of this engine is worth investing into.

When you pulled the spark plugs, were there any deposits?

I'll have to check the codes and the compression as soon as I can get the tools from work, Two coils in the engine we bench tested and they were fine, two of them were testing bad so they were replaced. As for the spark plugs, they were... well you should just see the pictures of them.

So I borrowed a scan tool from work, no codes for Check engine or Traction control light? so I pulled the spark plugs and they were coated in BLACK oil as well as some carbon like deposits on them, checked for compression using an old school tester and removing the valve core, 12PSI front rotor trailing, and 7PSI rear rotor trailing. Sounds like it's no good
