About a week ago my 8 started this sort of loud whining when deaccelerating. The whine is mainly when its in gear, but you can kind of her it when in neutral coasting to a stop. My tire pressure is fine, im kind of leaning towards a differential bearing... not sure though, not enough experience with transmission. Any insight from you guys would be great. Also my clutch is pretty worn not sure if that could cause the noise. Any help will be appreciated.

Also my tpms light started flashing as the sound started. It start flashing after I've been driving for about 20 min now.

 

If TMPS is flashing, you have a low tire. it will whine, and may whine more or less if coasting in or our of gear. Check tire first. Then, check fluids on transmission.

 

I checked tire pressure as soon as it started. Adjusted them and got them all to about 34psi. The owners manual says flashing mean a malfunction in the tpms. But I will check them all again when I get off. Thanks for the reply
