Let's put the sound aside for a second. You can make a video of it, to make things clearer.
That K&N short ram junk is doing you zero favours. They have caused more than a few people grief, suggest you plan to return it to stock.

The ESS code : try this: with the key in ON, but the engine off, press the brake pedal 20 times in 80 seconds (just taps, don't need to fully depress), or until the oil pressure gauge sweeps. This clears the ESS profile and allows the car to relearn it, which may fix that code.

Back to the sound, how does the car drive? Is this manual or auto?
It could be a few different things, perhaps the SSV valve in the intake. See if you can locate it and if if it feels it's making the sound. See if the sound stops if you disconnect the SSV solenoid electrical connection.

It could also be the engine pinging, which is not good news. What octane fuel is in there? Have you removed the spark plugs to see what they can tell you?

Thanks for the response. My car is a automatic and drives good. I also needed to put this update as well that I got a new code today. I believe it is my SSV causing the sound to resonate through my air intake. Intake Manifold tuning valve is stuck open.

New fuel injectors, exhaust smokes and LONG cranks, (never had before)

I got my radiator/cooling lines repaired for the 2nd time under warranty and replaced fuel injectors because car was at 150,000 (body). They also compression tested it for the first time. 87 Psi, (engine possibly on its way) Shop also said it smoked their garage at one point. I got the car back and attempted to drive it home, Otw home i experienced the following 1)strange whistling noise when accelerating (went way). 2) engine misfired for the first time in as long as could remember, 3) When I parked and tried hot starting it would crank for like 7, 8+ ticks and then barely turn on like it was on its last legs. P.S this stuff never happened before it went into the shop and barely had any starting issues nor smoke. So, i ran my obd 2 and got 4 codes ive never seen before

Simplified it after some google searches. I have NEVER had these codes before it went into the shop, only codes i was getting was small evap and o2 sensors. I could use all the help i could get
