Will Clavius's Motor Fail

Hey guys

I am slowly but quickly reaching torwards the 60k mark. I made a apointment for Monday for a compression check on my engine at Tasca Mazda in Seekonk, MA. So who thinks its gonna pass and who thinks it shall fail?!
Alot of you know the problems I've had with her so I think this is a fair poll lol.

Sometimes I wonder how consistent mazda techs are with compression checks. If your compression is poor, you should develop less IM vacuum and get less gas mileage. I watch both of these in my car. Some cars lose compression to worn seals but you can also lose compression to carbon build up in the apex seal springs.

Then again, if you get it covered under warrantee, how much downside is there from trading a 60k engine in for a reman? Best of luck.

Hey yo makin' fun of my edgeUmehcation? lawl!

Spelling is for the suxorz!

And Sokim Tasca Mazda in Seekonk quoted me $92.50 and its free if it fails since it will be covered by powertrain. Though I am unsure why Mazda doesnt make it free regradless what with all the problems they've had and hell they extended our motor coverage till 100k. Also the CEL I got finally disapeared after changing the plugs. I just have to remember to ask for a print out of the compression test. They seemed interested after I told them that my previous dealer where morons and damaged my car.

Oh and here is a omen for you.. my new neighbor just called me ova... he hit my car... IN THE SAME PLACE as my last accident!

Look on the bright side - at least your neighbor told you, rather than leaving you to file a hit and run claim.

Voted yes, btw. But all automatics deserve to die.

Well I'm at Tasca Mazda right now.. well technically its their Lincoln/Ford Dealership since they are tearing down the Mazda dealership building (use that term loosly) to build a bigger better one (thankfully! lol). They service rep was nice and asked if I was sure I wanted a compression check since he didnt want to take my money for something un-needed, made me feel nice knowing this place wasnt a complete stealership lol. I ended up talking to their tech and told him of some of the issue's I've had and how Astral has had his engine replaced recently and I wish to have that piece of mind with this test. He agreed and he led me to the showroom so I can have a desk and do some work (surf the net bwahahah).

So now I'm waiting surfing the net, over hearing a bunch of old people looking at Lincoln's and how sarcastic they are.. very entertaining let me tell ya lol. One small grip though, since the Mazda building is being torn down there are no sign's saying to go to the main ford/lincoln building. Place was empty and I'm going "Erm... Helllloooooo???" till a sales guy walked over and told me what was going on. Bonus also place is about 5-10 min's away from my place so if they treat me well I found my dealer.

One last note.. I'm sitting infront of a Lincoln MKX and um.. thing looks like a Cx-7/9 less sporty obviously but its errie to say the least.

LOW COMPRESSION BITCHES!!!!!

It failed compression and they called up Mazda. Mazda told them to perform a De-Carb first then perform another Compression Check. If it fails after that then I'll get a new engine.. this kicker of all this is that MAZDA!!! is telling the dealership that I!!!!!!!!!!!!! have to pay for the De-Carb process. Even the service rep doesnt understand it since they are making them do it. I left a message for Chris to get his input on this but I need the De-Carb to get the new engine but yeah.. kind of annoyed at Mazda atm with making me pay for something THEY are requiring.

Oi... well I'm still in the dealership sitting down.. yawning.. tired.. hungry and thirsty. Can't believe they dont have a soda machine in this joint.. or even a snack machine.. -2 for this dealership atm... Mazda is still on my **** list. They said I wont have to pay for anything ONLY if it the engine still fails the compression test after the de-carb. Thankfully I have the interweb and looked on Rosenthal's site and have the TSB ready if all else.

Man I just realized.. if it does fail.. they are gonna stick me in a fraggin' Focus.. I know

That sux, but from their perspective if the de-carb works and the engine is thereafter ok it was a preventative maintenance action and therefore not covered.

Despite the cost, hopefully they don't have to replace the engine. Who needs that aggravation. But then you're technically at a Linclon-Merc, so perhaps something better than a focus.

That is what the Mazda Rep said over the phone.. but if it fails I pay nada.. so I'm kinda hoping it fails like Spears comeback..... And I'll get a focus... no way I'll land myself in a nice Lincoln...although I wouldnt mind their new mks I think that is it.. their new car.. car looks nice... sucks its fwd though.

But yeah... I'm hungry as hell atm.. with my upstairs tenants laptop.. forgot to bring the carrying case.. and I've been here for 3 hours so far.

The Ford Flex in person looks kinda nice, but screams out scoccer mom for the new age. Though slap on some nice 20's, tint, and a sublte bodykit and it would be a nice urban hauler. The Focus still looks like da geys.. can't wait till the EU Focus is brought in the dealerships in 2010, car looks nice and definatly not a "chick car". The Merc Milan oi.. hate to say it looks better than the Fusion its rebadged from, another car that would benifit from rims, tint and lowering with a sublte "apearance package".

^haha.. I know a lil bit about everything.. its kinda scary at times.

I like the saying "Jack of all trades but Master of none." thats me..

But yeah the MKS looks nice.. mofugga is MASSIVE though.. the one downside to the car. It might be the belt line of car perhaps but the front grill looks friggin' Awsome!!! Also is it a "Ford" thing to have the rear window be so far up and angled and hence be small as fragnuts? Oh the Focus is still butt ugly... Think I see a new Mazda 6.. might go sneak out and check it out.

p.s. I'm still here and even the greeter has said to me "what are they doing to your car that is taking so long?".
