What if there was an all RX-8 event to be held, and I mean large event, at VIR some time this summer. We would have a car show, vendor row displaying some of the newest and innovative products out for the RX-8, door prizes, and awards, track time would be allowed, and hopefully we would have demos from teams like SpeedSource and other pro RX-8 race teams. I am gauging interest and gathering information to hold such an event, I plan for this event to be lasrge which means I need sponsers which means I have to prove interest. So who is interested and who would attend? Feel free to check out the VIR site, it is truely a great Complex: www.virclub.com. If anyone has anyother ideas for things to happen at the event please let me know, I have got aslot more planned but I need to do some more research.

they car show portion would be purely for RX-8, and the event would be focused towards RX-8s but other vehicle owners are welcome to attend will be allowed on the track.

I'd go. I'm planning to get an RX-8 or just build an E36 M3 for track/autoX use, but this would be another chance to get on the track at VIR.

Guys I have got alot of big plans, but of course I can't promise anything till I get more people on board. I plan to have alot of people come out and demo there cars, I hope to try and get Speedsource, K&N, and JIC as some to get there RX-8s out there. I also have plans to get some RX-8s out there that we haven't seen yet, ie. prototype cars!

Like I said in another thread that you posted... it's too far away for me to hang out and do a parade lap on the track.

And if you're going to approach sponsors, dear god, use a spell check, or have someone else do the proposals.

Sorry Imp, I apologize for my improper editing. It would be more than a parade lap but unless you are one of the demos teams or you have the proper equipment I can't let you do more than the basic driving day, ie. follow the leader. But it isn't going to be any slow passed parade lap I will make sure it is enjoyable and worht your while. I have prepared a sort of base map of operations for the event. Basicly we will have the North Course open to us and everything in red is what I have written in.
