Hi all,

For those who don't know me, my name is Josh and I've recently purchased an 8 about a month ago. Before that I drove a Mazda Protege 5. Looking for a community I had found Mazdas247.com and within that the car enthusiats club of NEPOC. Now though the name of the club is New England Protege Owners Club, we have a diverse membership of all Mazda makes and some non-Mazda.

My reason for asking who is from the MA, CT, RI, and other northern regions of the east is that I've noticed there are quite a few members here that are more so from the Virginia area. Therefore, I just want to welcome all to come check us out sometime for local events and meets if your interested. Of course I'm not saying leave the RX-8 club, but rather an invitation for all Mazda enthusiasts to get together. A few other 8 members have met up with NEPOC such as Clavius and once a Protege owner himself, Astral.

Hope to see more 8's at our gatherings.

I hail from Waterbury, CT and I believe I met some of you from the NEPOC meet back in 2004 when I had a VR Mazda 3 and I had a good time... I came with a couple people from the 6 club. I agree we need to try to get all the Mazda family involved and have a nice turnout. I try to keep members of the Mazda 3 and 6 forums informed of anything going on nearby...

Did a great job with the install - almost wish I had my WB... but the copper red is taking away my regrets! Can you post the details on the Cape Cod run, I believe Oleg mentioned it but I don't think there was a date set yet... thanks!

 

I'm from Rhode Island (Warwick). Own a BB base model 6MT rx8 with the performance package. My dad owns a mazdaspeed mx5. Definately interested in meeting some other enthusiasts in the area.

 

Awesome folks. I love this forum for RX-8 info, but we at NEPOC have the local events. The first sticky is the event schedule. Other threads talk about what's happening.

I'm from the springfield mass area, but no longer have the 8. I met some of the nepoc group at a get together a few years ago in hartford. Oleg had a protege' and I had a black 8. Well, we switched places as Oleg now has a WB 8 and I drive a galaxy grey 3. Good group of people in both clubs...

 

A few years ago....that was a long time. You have to come out east sometime to our meets. Heck we have people from PA that make the drive.

That's where I grew up. I even went to Milford High School which probably dates me a bit. I live in Maryland now but frequently visit the area.
