Who Lives in the Hampton Roads VA area?

I'm getting ready to purchase an RX-8. I've had RX-7s before. I was just wondering if there are many guys and gals around here that actually come out for the various auto related events in Hampton Roads.

This thread shows of a lot of the locals...https://www.rx8club.com/ne-rx-8-forum-29/hampton-roads-mazda-meet-111605/

A couple groups are the Hampton Roads 8 Club: hr8c.com. We've met in Virginia Beach, so it'd be drive for you. At some point, a Peninsula meet may come up. Next meet is July 21 at Awful Arthurs in Va Beach (the site isn't updated with the meet info yet).

and the Hampton Roads Rotary Club: http://rx7.meetup.com/55/. They meet monthly, sometimes on the peninsula. All rotaries at that one, mostly 7's, some 8's and a few older RX's.

Is there a guy named Randy Martin still around? I remember that he was quite the Rotary "GURU" in Hampton Roads. I knew him back when I had my old 7.
And he has/had an awsome stable of Rotary Beasts.

After MUCH debate, research, test driving, numbers crunching etc....

I'm currently seeking the perfect '05 GT with Nav. I hope to come across it and purchase it shortly. I'm NOT new to Rotary Mazdas. I've owned an '88 RX-7 Coonvertible, an '85 RX-7 GSL-SE 13B, and briefly a '94 RX-7 Touring (flipped for a big profit). I've got a closet full of old and new Rotary Automobilia and Nick Nacks. I haven't always owned a Roatary(jus most of the time), but I've been a LONG TIME rotary fanatic. I currently own a 2006 Honda S2000 and a 2005 Dodge SRT-4(400+ HP Street/Drag Car). I'm currently parting out and trying to seel the Dodge. As soon as it's gone, I'll be picking up an 8. Hopefully in time for Tail of the Dragon 2007 in September. I've run it in the FC Convertible and the S2K, but I'm looking forward to the trip in an 8. Wish me luck.

The Hampton Roads Rotary Club meets monthly at different locations. There are usually a few 8's there along with the 7's and an older RX or 2. The 8 Club has been more erratic, since Dan/vIce^gRip has been pretty busy with work.
