Shoveled once, buried again. The lump behind the van is the -8, sleeping under cover.
Floundered to the front yard, took about eight snow depth measures across the open area.
19" average.

Yea, the weather is wierd. It's pissing us heavy resort fanatics off since the south is getting more snow while the north is getting nadda, capital W T F. Makes no sense, Jersey getting over 12", MD, even where I'm at in CT, but nadda for upper NY or VT, lol. Wierd storm.

Just took this pic. Forgot to get one before the neighborhood kids came by to shovel.
Still coming down right now, but supposed to end within an hour or so, radar looks like it's ending. I don't have to go anywhere for another week anyway...
This is out our side window. that is a standard 6ft wooden fence, that black thing is a 4ft long roll of old tar paper. Kinda cheating a bit, cause the wind is piling it up all along the side of the house (40ft x 10ft), but still...

riwwp, that's a very square block of snow on ur 8 lol
I shoveled my driveway out today (with no intentions of going out anymore), only to realize that a big van was blocking half of the driveway
....and was surrounded by 4 feet of snow. I don't think I'll be going out anytime soon.

Yeah, next time I HAVE to leave is next Saturday, although I think I will need to clean off that block of snow to replace my coils when they arrive Another 2 inches after that pic, but doesn't show up on the camera.
We got some wierd wind patterns around my house, does sculptures like that alot. Causes problems with near freezing temps, because somehow it puts my driveway a few degrees colder, and my cars will be covered in frozen dew, and the rest of the cars on the street are just liquid dew, if not dry altogether. Drives me nuts sometimes.
I took a few more angles of the block of snow to show the shape the wind made...
Excuse the quality, 9:30 at night, only light is the porch light and the street light, not the best picture conditions

You and me both. Thankfully, my apartment is in a really safe area. Usually a 2009 Audi TT parked right in front of me. However, this does little to comfort me. Next year I'll be in Manhattan paying out the *** for garage parking, but at least I'll sleep at night. There are simply no garages in my area right now, or else I'd be in one. My attitude is I can enjoy the car and accept a ding and a scratch as a reality of urban life and have them fixed in due course, or I can leave it at my parents house on Long Island and enjoy it a few times a year, spending the rest of my time miserable on the subway.
Believe me, I go all out with the detailing, clay baring, etc. But I have no other option than to street park, although I should invest in a cover, my fear being that it makes my car even more of a target, covered on the street that is.

on top of it?
I was seriously tempted to take it out late last night for some fun, but decided it wouldn't be prudent with a quickly failing ignition system and it's actually unpleasant to drive right now (~9mpg, massive loss in power, misfires constantly, can't go WOT, etc... fresh plugs are in, coils will be here this week)

Wow, I agree with whoever said it was a weird storm... All the southern coastal areas getting hit the hardest was very odd. I got 28" here... Here's my 3 in the snow.. or what you can see of it, I'll get pics of the 8 up later, lol.
Well.. here's what supposed to be a black hatch 3.... heh
