I did their event last year in May at Pocono. I loved it as there was a tremondous amount of track time open.
BUT NOTE: This is not an HPDE. There are no instructors so it is not for first timers - IMHO They will help you get started on the track but I would not suggest this as your first time. There are serious track cars and drivers on the track at the same time and even with passing guidelines it could be spooky for a first timer. Look to PDA or another organizer first, then enjoy the track time with C.A.R.T.
If you have few events under your belt, CART was a good group of folks that ran a safe day and you will enjoy it.

Just a point of interest - last year a forum member here, expo1, witnessed a terrible crash where a driver lost control, missed a turn and plowed into the next set of cars who were lined up to enter the track at the Pocono. Do you know if there is a new barrier to protect the folks on-deck or is there a new track management guideline to simply not line up drivers there next to a hot-track?

Pocono - NORTH is fine and that is where C.A.R.T is running.
The event that Expo1 was at as on the (I beleive) Pocono-EAST configuration.

The east course is like the worst location, heck I dont even like the south. You guys will get murdered around the track with no power to pass down the short straights. At least in the north, you will be able to wind the motor up to pass people.
I was at the May Pocono event too, the Corvair guys can be a pain in the freaking a$$. Yes I do agree we drive a little nutty, but for the most part, good bunch of guys. You just have to know who you are racing with.
Pocono North is a great track as we usually get tons of miles on it. If you can make it around the track okay, you can get tons of miles (I got 140 miles in September, 95 in May). Some guy got 200 miles. I stopped at 140 because I went through two tanks of gas!!!
